“Love   of   Don  Perlimplin   with   Belisa   in his Garden”   is   an   emblematic   piece   of   the   great   Spanishplaywright Federico García Lorca.  The play combines humor and fatality in the form of a tragicomedy. Love and death are intertwined with brushstrokes of masked naivety and tragic eroticism that 6oods thescene with only two actors. Two performers (Ludwig Pineda and Costa Palamides) and a pianist-composer (Pantelis Palamidis) maneuver the maximum convenon of theatricality using a playful gameof masks, costumes and symbols with “duende”.

This theatrical piece, transported into a chambermusical, tells the anecdote of the old Don Perlimplin who is pushed by his nurse Marcolfa into marriagewith Belisa, daughter of a very "interested" parent.

The Andalusian author’s play is set as a smalltheater of funny puppets moved by the threads of a fateful desny.   Don Perlimplin falls in love and"sacri<ces" himself for the in<del Belisa, so that she could go beyond her body and reach her soul, in ajourney full of surprises, enigmas and mysteries.  The characters lose their inial puppet character tobecome a deep amalgam of skin and guts loaded with a deep poetic persuasion.
