Luciana Aires Mesquita is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice embraces the roles of researcher and actress-performer, covering the fields of Greek mythology, alchemy, archetypal psychology, mythopoesis, visual and performing arts. She holds two BA’s, in International Relations (1991) and Theatre Arts (1997), at the University of Brasília (UnB), and a MA in Mythological Studies, with Emphasis in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute (Santa Barbara, California, 2001). She offers lectures in international conferences and body expression workshops. She has delivered talks, participated in artistic residences and conducted research in Argentina, California, Greece, India, Indonesia, Japan, Uruguay e France (Pantheatre). She was granted a six-months CAPES - PDSE fellowship (January-June 2019) to live in Greece in order to research the myth of Demeter and Persephone for her PhD dissertation in Performing Arts, a partnership between the University of Campinas(UNICAMP), São Paulo, Brazil and the University of Thessaly, Volos.
